SADC IN EXTRAORDINARY SUMMIT ON MOZAMBIQUE

Maseru, Dec. 08—The Southern African Development Community (SADC) had an extraordinary summit that sat on the issue of Mozambique post-election saga.

This follows a request from civil organisations to the organ to intervene, especially for children and women who have been displaced since the elections. Some businessmen have fled to Namibia and Eswatini.

In her opening statement, the Chairperson of the SADC Organ, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, underscored that the SADC region could not afford to ignore what is happening in the Republic of Mozambique, especially when it directly impacts the socio-economic fabric of the entire SADC region…
