SENATE, SRC MEETING FAILS

Maseru, Oct.16 — The meeting between the National University of Lesotho (NUL) and Students Representative Council (SRC) which was supposed to be on Monday afternoon to pave way forward following the strike that led to suspension of classes did not take place.

This was disclosed by SRC President Tumo Tsanyane in an interview where he said that through the communique he got, it was said that the meeting would not be able to continue due to unfinished Faculty assignments from Academic Office and lack of electricity in some offices.

The assignments given to Faculties include academic registration and supplementary results but such have not been completed.

He said that today (Tuesday) marks their seven-day ultimatum for their grievances to have been addressed but said he suspects that the university management will answer them today saying if not they (students) know how they will deal with the matter.
