QACHA’S NEK — The 5th anniversary edition of the Senqu Hard Enduro held from September 11 to 13 brought excitement and a notable boost to local businesses.
The three-day GPS stage race navigated the scenic Senqu River terrain, passing through Ha Mpiti, Sehlabathebe, Ha Ts’episo, ’Melikane, Ha Mohlapiso, Ha Rapase, Ha Thube, Ha Ramoroke, Mosaqane and Ha Rooijane.
Local hotels, guesthouses and vendors reported increased activity during the event.

In an interview with the Agency, Mr. Moeketsi Moletsane of Letloepe Guest House said, “They sleep and eat here, and other hotels enjoy similar benefits. We are often fully booked, and I even have to hire extra staff to keep up with demand.”
Mrs. ’Mamots’elisi Shata, owner of New Central Hotel, noted the event’s positive impact on revenue while providing a spectacle for the community.
“This is the third time we’ve hosted them, accommodating 50 to 60 participants. It’s not just income, it’s an event that brings the community together,” she said. . .
