SIX BASOTHO ARRESTED

Maseru, June 16 — Atleast nine suspects appeared in court in Mogwase Potchefstroom for contravention of Immigration Act 2002 and illicit mining earlier this week.

According to the press statement from South African Police Service (SAPS), the suspects were arrested in Tlhatlaganyane village in Mogwase and they include six Lesotho and two Zimbabwe nationals as well as a South African.

During the arrest, the police confiscated a tipper truck, generators, hammers, jackhammers, water pumps and many other equipment.

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, welcomed the arrests and the confiscation of illegal mining equipment. . .
