TIP MULTI SECTORAL COMMITTEE DEVELOPS DISTRICT ANNUAL PLAN

Mokhotlong Jan.08 — Members of the District Trafficking in Persons (TIP) multi sectoral committee attended a one day meeting  to develop TIP district annual work plan on Wednesday.

Formed by civil servants from different government departments and other people  from non-governmental organisations, the 14 member committee was supported by World Vision Lesotho (WVL) under the European Union funding to draw its annual work plan.

Trafficking in persons mean recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, abuse of power or position of vulnerability, the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another, for the purpose of exploitation…
