TWO VENOMOUS SNAKES STILL MISSING IN QACHA’S NEK

Qacha’s Nek, June. 30 — Two venomous snakes, a black-necked spitting cobra and a rinkhals, are still missing from Snake Park in Qacha’s Nek, sparking concern among residents and the park’s management.

Snake Park owner Mr. Nkhooa Molahlehi confirmed in an interview that five of the seven escaped snakes have been safely recovered. Among them was a cobra found inside the home of 18-year-old Khotsofalang Leteba.

“After retrieving it, I had to go to South Africa to get antibiotics because the snake was in a terrible state,” Mr. Molahlehi said.

“It was bleeding from the back, confused, stressed, and clearly mistreated. We’re not sure what was done to it,” he stressed.

Molahlehi said he continues to search for the two remaining snakes and has been conducting personal investigations and searches with no success so far. . .
