UN DEPUTY SECRETARY GENERAL MEETS LHDA, COMMUNITY REPS

Mokhotlong Oct.05 — The United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Amina Mohammed met with the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) to review progress of key infrastructure project under the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP) Phase II at Malingoaneng in the district on Saturday.

Accompanied by Lesotho’s Minister of Finance and Development Planning Dr. Rets’elisitsoe Matlanyane, the Deputy Secretary General was also taken on a brief tour and talks of the project which include the construction of the Polihali Dam.

She further met with the community representatives from the villages around the project site to listen on how the project implementation has affected their lives. . .
