UNGOVERNABLE NEIGHBOURHOOD SHOULD BE DISCUSSED – MOTINYANE

Mafeteng, Sept. 14 — The District Administrator for Mafeteng Mr. Motinyane Motinyane says the ungovernable situation being experienced by one of the South African Farm Owners should be addressed by all the Area Chiefs along the border to maintain relations between these two countries.

He made the remarks during the public gathering held at Ha Ujong on Thursday where he said Area Chiefs should use their powers to control their people to stop destroying assets of their neighbour who is complaining of his livestock being taken by herders, burning of his pastures and cutting the fence.

The District Administrator called on parents working together with Area Chiefs to prevent their children and herders engaged in various criminal offenses occurring at the farm.

“Crime taking place in this area contributes negatively to neighbourhood and also affects relations between the two countries especially the farm owner,” said Motanyane.
