UNINTENDED PREGNANCIES AFFECT EDUCATION – THAMAE

Mohale’s Hoek, July. 13 — Unintended pregnancies coupled with early child marriages contribute to increasing numbers of drop outs in different schools within Thaba – Mokhele Community Council F05.

These opinions were gathered during distribution of grants to needy households at the Council on Friday, where beneficiaries around Mpharane converged.

Speaking with the Agency, Mrs. ‘Mankopane Thamae, Auxiliary Social Worker at this area told the Agency while government is working tirelessly through issuance of the grants including Basic Education Strengthening Education Project (BESP) but some students are unable to further their studies due to teenage pregnancies coupled with early child marriages. . .
