MOHALE’S HOEK — The Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Mrs. ‘Maphakile Xingwane has pleaded with communities to change their mindset on issues pertaining to rangelands management.
This was during the Climate -Smart Rangeland event held at Tlaling in recognition of ten Herders, after winning a competition on rangelands management against their counterparts in Qhoasing, Senqunyane and Lengau courtesy of the World Food Programme, under the Improving Adaptive Capacity Of Vulnerable and Food Insecure Populations in Lesotho project (IACOV).
She stated that it is not only the Herder’s responsibility to protect rangelands, but the community at large.. .
