Maseru, Jul. 13 — In its effort to assist Lesotho on the implementation of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), the United Nations Office of Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) in Geneva held a two-day workshop in Lesotho this week.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, the workshop was intended to enhance knowledge of stakeholders on the rights and obligations under the BWC. It adds that the aim was to explore the roles of different national stakeholders in the implementation process.
It further adds that the objective was to strengthen national cooperation, coordination and engagement on issues related to the implementation of BWC. . .
