WATER CRISIS IN KHUBETSOANA INTENSIFIES

Berea, Oct. 11 — As drought continues across the country, access to drinking water at Khubetsoana Electoral Division (ED) in Mapoteng Community Council is becoming a daily challenge affecting people’s way of living in six villages.

This was said by Khunetsoana ED Community Councilor Mrs. Mabasia Khaoli during an interview with the Agency on Friday.

Mrs. Khaoli said since May water crisis has been affecting them, but lately the situation has worsened as a result of drought which has left many water sources dried up and thus forcing some villages to ration the little available supply.

She said out of six villages in Khubetsoana ED, two of them being Libakha and Lifotholeng are extremely affected by the water crisis to a point whereby people are forced to walk long distances to far away villages in search of drinking water.
