WFP SENSITIZES VDMT’s ON FIRST AID ISSUES

Mohale’s Hoek, June 18 — The World Food Programme (WFP) has lent a hand in funding a two days First Aid Training to Village Disaster Management Teams (VDMT’s) from seven villages in Mpharane.

WFP Field Officer, Ts’oanelo Oliphant stated that VDMT consist of  Chiefs, public health nurses, water committee members among others, noting the team has been topped up with youth due to the absence of other members and the training is being facilitated by members of  District Disaster Management Team (DDMT)

One of the participants ‘Mabafokeng Ntsapi applauded WFP for the initiative noting they have acquired some basic  skills they knew nothing about.

Meanwhile, the founder and principal of Bethel Business and Community Centre Ivan Yaholnitsky, has held a 2 days training for about 17 villagers at Bokoro on water and soil conservation,  taking care of the environment, and the use of solar energy, courtesy of WFP.
