YOUTH LEADERS SPEAK ON ELECTIONS

Maseru, Oct. 02 – The low turnout of youth at different electoral divisions during the 2023 local government elections is an indication that youth do not understand politics including the importance of electing community councilors to lead in their respective areas.

These are some of the opinions of youth Leaders emanating from inspection of different electoral divisions during local government elections, where Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Presiding Officers and Returning Officers recorded a low voting turnout at these centres, even though their names were appearing on the voters lists.
