FRANCE, CUBA PRESENT CREDENTIALS TO KING

Maseru, Nov. 16 —  King Letsie Ill accepted credentials from the Ambassadors of the  Republic of France and Republic of Cuba  during an event  held at the Royal Palace on Thursday.

In acceptance, the King expressed gratitude to France and its people saying relations between the two countries emanate 200 years ago when missionaries arrived in Lesotho.

“We have since enjoyed relations, thus are willing to further strengthen these bilateral ties”. He said.

Talking about the issue of reforms of which European Union has since supported Lesotho financially and otherwise, he expressed hope that despite challenges surrounding reforms, they will be adopted so that Lesotho and Basotho can endure the much-needed stability. . .
