Maseru, Nov.16 — About three weeks since fast-food giant KFC closed down all of its restaurants in Lesotho due to the severe outbreak of bird flu in neighbouring South Africa, more restaurants are going to close down.
The government of Lesotho through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition in early October banned all poultry imports from South Africa.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, Galitos Chicken Manager Mrs. ‘Mapule Seliane said that the two restaurants within Maseru have been closed since October 28 saying though initially it was because of moving another franchise to the new building, they were also running out of stock.
She said that they will reopen once they have enough stock. . .
