Maseru, Feb.25—Advocate Letuka Molati who is representing Former Army Commander Lieutenant General Tlali Kamoli in an ongoing treason trial, says his client was selectively selected from the rest of army command structure and officials, to be placed in jail.
This he said during cross-examination of Lance Sergeant Shaabe Thamae, a member of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) who testified about the events that took place in August 2014 at the Police Headquarters whereby Sub-Inspector Mokheseng Ramahloko was shot by army members who were conducting an operation.
The lawyer stated that the selection was made not because there was treason but because the legal system was weaponised.
