Maseru, Nov.27 — As part of efforts to promote efficiency and transparency, Office of the Auditor General (AG) on Monday launched its website.
The Auditor General is mandated to audit and report on the use and management of public resources by public entities.
In her remarks, AG Mrs. ‘Mathabo Makenete said that this marks a significant milestone in the office’s commitment to transparency and open communication.
She said that the website is important because the public will be able to access information and reports faster and on time without having to come to the office to get such.
She said that the public has to know why there are no developments in their areas and the country at large even though Parliament allocated money for development in different ministries. . .
