AGRIC TACKLES TIPS BETWEEN BUYERS, SELLERS

Qacha’s nek, Feb. 18 — The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition Qacha’s nek, held a meeting with the farmers and buyers, with an objective of meeting them half way in terms of how to sell in bulk.

The attendees included producers of meat (chicken, pork, beef),eggs, vegetables etc.

Letlapeng Resource Centre Extension officer Molefali Moteka urged producers to produce for the bigger market, to produce in regards to the demand. The department also recommended good communication between itself, buyers and producers.

In this line of production, there are so many challenges which includes products not being bought. One of chicken meat producers Mr Mofota Phatela said the problem they encounter is their products not being bought by the supermarket or buyers.  . .
