24 GRADUATE FROM DRESSMAKING VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN QACHA’S NEK

Qacha’s Nek, Dec. 14 — The FTC grounds in Qacha’s Nek were filled with excitement, hugs and laughter on Saturday as 24 students graduated from Mpatsi’s School of Dressmaking, a vocational institution empowering youth with practical skills.

Established in mid-2023 with just nine students, the school has grown steadily. In 2024, its first full formal year, enrolment increased to 17, and this year 28 students registered for the one-year programme.

Of those enrolled in January 2025, four dropped out due to financial constraints, leaving 24 graduates, 23 females and one male.

Speaking to the Agency, the school’s founder Mr. Lenkoe Mpatsi of Leropong, a graduate of St. Elizabeth Training Institute, said the school was established to bridge a skills gap in the district….
