ANTI-CORRUPTION EFFORTS BOOSTED

Qacha’s Nek, Aug. 27 — Following the revival of the Qacha’s Nek District Anti-Corruption Committees (DACC) on April 16, 2024, the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offenses (DCEO) has launched a comprehensive three-day training session for DACC members.

Supported by the European Union (EU), the  re-establishment move is part of the DCEO’s efforts to strengthen anti-corruption measures.

During this recent training, participants were informed about the nature of corruption, its causes, how it manifests, and the role of the public in both preventing and fighting it.

In a Tuesday interview with the Agency, DCEO Chief Public Education Officer, Mrs. ‘Malimpho Moshoeshoe, highlighted that the purpose of the training was to provide a thorough understanding of corruption, both in its broader conceptual context and within the legal framework.
