Eskom is forecasting that it is on track with its generation operation recovery plan which
would see load shedding as a thing of the past by March 2025.
The power utility says improving operations at the Matla Power Station in Mpumalanga has
contributed significantly to the continued suspension of load shedding.
The coal-fired power station is one of the six priority stations that was to be recovered
through the Generation Operational Recovery Plan.
Eskom provided its outlook for the summer period, September, 2024 to March, 2025, and
provided an update on its current business operations following five months, without load
shedding.
