AIDS COMMISSION HOLDS HIV, TB SUSTAINABILITY MEETING

Maseru,Aug.27—The district of Qacha’s Nek is reported to be reporting the lowest rate of new infections as it stands at reported numbers of 131 as opposed to that of Maseru and Leribe which stand at 1500 and 800 respectively.

This emerged at the HIV and TB Sustainability meeting that was hosted by the National Aids Commission (NAC) together with the Sustainability development team for the media sector in Maseru on Tuesday.

In her opening remarks, the Chief Executive of National Aids Commission Ms. Lebohang Mothae said  the objective of the meeting is to introduce the Sustainability Planning agenda to the media sector as one of the stakeholders’ consultations facilitated by the governance and leadership thematic task team.

She said it is also to get contributions from the media sector on their vision and goals about sustainability for HIV and TB response in Lesotho…
