MASERU — Despite the ongoing challenges of shortages of staff, low salaries as well as lack of resources, nurses across the country are urged to continue serving the nation with utmost dedication to continue saving the lives of Basotho.
This was said by the Secretary General of the Qiloane Nursing Assistants Association Mr. David Mats’ela while conveying a message in commemoration of the International Nurses day.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Monday, Mr. Mats’ela said it is high time the government considers investing more in nursing as a primary objective towards improving the health of Basotho.
He indicated that nurses are faced with a big challenge of promoting good health therefore when they are well equipped, the government can save a lot of funds that are used to pay for people going for treatment outside the country.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mats’ela urged all the nurses not to forget the pledges they made in ensuring that every Mosotho is served as per their rights.
