Maseru, May 08 — Cardinals have entered into their second day of the conclave as no one managed to secure a two-thirds majority which is 89 votes to fill the position of a new Pope.
Vatican News has reported that a black smoke emerged from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel signalling failure to reach a conclusion in the elections in the first ballot on Wednesday where Cardinals were sequestered for more than three hours.
It further reports that thousands of Christians have been assembling in the Vatican City’s St. Peter’s Square waiting for the smoke to come out as they anticipate celebration of a grand appearance of the new Catholic church leader.
Cardinals will be excluded from the outside world until the decision has been reached…
