BADC HOLDS GRADUATIONS FOR INCUBATION PROGRAMME

Maseru, Aug, 23 – Bahale Arts Development Centre (BADC) held a graduation ceremony for an incubation programme in Maseru, today.

At the event, Mrs. Liatile Mohale, the founder and artistic Director BADC, stated that Bahale Incubation Programme remains largely underdeveloped because most practitioners do not have formal training and they lack infrastructure support and are unable to receive funding.

“For these reasons and many others many of them abandoned their talents to pursue careers in more recognized fields such as STEM while the few who are lucky leave to pursue work in other countries,” she said.

Mrs. Mohale mentioned that little investment in the arts means there is little to no baseline data on their impact on human and social development and without data, decisions and policies that favour the Arts are difficult to make.
