Maseru, Oct.13 — Road Fund Lesotho on Monday marked the celebration of the Fund’s 30th anniversary at the event held in Maseru in presence of the Prime Minister, cabinet ministers, stakeholders and staff.
This celebration coincides with Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Day commemoration themed, ‘Fund Resilience, Not Disasters’.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane said this is a significant national milestone saying the 30th anniversary is a celebration of progress, perseverance to build connections that not only connect roads but communities and people.
He said good roads are a necessity, they allow mothers in rural areas to reach hospitals on time, farmers get their products to the market and students to go to schools without any hindrance.
