BUSINESS AS USUAL IN MASERU ON KING’S BIRTHDAY

Maseru, July 17 – Some businesses were operating as usual in the capital Maseru on Wednesday, despite the day being declared a national holiday in commemoration of the King’s Birthday.

The nation is commemorating King Letsie III 61st birthday where the main celebration is held at Botha Bothe Pitso House with dignitaries like Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso as and the entire royal family as well as Prime Minister Mr Ntsokoane Matekane as well as some cabinet Ministers including Diplomats in Lesotho are in attendance.

However, some of the businesses along the main King’s way in Maseru were still operating as usual, despite all the ten districts having celebrations of their own to allow communities in those places to also celebrate the King’s birthday in their own way.

The Maseru district’s King’s birthday is held at Rothe, Masite.
