Maseru, Oct.31 — The Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane has proclaimed December 08, 2023 as the day on which to return members of local councils for Electoral Divisions (ED).
This follows ties in elections results and deaths of candidates in certain Electoral Divisions in the recent Local Government elections. According to the Legal Notice No.106 of 2023 issued on October 27, this is pursuant to Section 23 of Local Government Elections Act 1998 and the Prime Minister is acting on the advice of the Minister responsible for Local Government and Chieftainship . . .
