CBL TO KICK OFF MONEY MONTH CAMPAIGN 

Mohale’s Hoek, Feb. 08 — The Central Bank of Lesotho has on Thursday held a meeting with Head Of Departments with an objective of enlightening them about the Lesotho Money Month Campaign, (LMMC) to be launched in the district on April 11.

According to Lerato Maieane from CBL’s Communications Department, the objective of the LMMC’s initiative is to create awareness on proper ways of using and saving money among citizens, while introducing to them various financial sectors within the bank.

Ms. Maieane further indicated that the target audience for the meeting  comprises area chiefs, business sector, civil servants, education officers and civil societies to mention but a few, and pleaded with HOD’s to spread the message in order for the campaign to be a success.

On the other hand HOD’s who were very keen about the event promised their unwavering support, noting that the rate at which the economy is deteriorating, there is a dire need for citizens to be taught how to save money. 

The LMMC, which this year is commemorated under the theme, Protect Your Money, Secure Your Future, is a customary annual event which is  spearheaded by the Financial Sector, with the aim of promoting knowledge and skills on financial issues among citizens of Lesotho.
