Beijing, Sept. 10 — Exploring different avenues on youth’s development initiatives and strengthening partnership among countries topped the agenda during the official opening ceremony of the ninth edition of China-Africa Youth Festival staged in Beijing, China.
This year China-Africa Youth Festival is themed, “Across Time and Space, Youth Power Strengthens China-Africa Friendship” and it is attended by at least 51 youth delegates from different African countries.
When officiating the program, the People Republic of China, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Miao Deyu remarked that young people are the most dynamic and innovative group of the society, highlighting that in many occasions, President Xi Jinping has made a profound observation that the future of China-Africa relations lies on young people.
Mr. Deyu highlighted that the youth festival is a Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) flagship program, a platform for young people to build bonds, make friends and learn from each other, adding that it is also a source of strength for the joint implementation of FOCAC outcomes.
