CHINA’S VICTORY DAY PARADE ATTRACTS GLOBAL ATTENTION

Beijing, Sept 03 — The People’s Republic of China through its People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has on Wednesday conducted one of the biggest military parade on earth in remembrance of the Victory claimed against the Japanese army which also led to the end of the World War II (WW II).

Commemorated in the heart of Beijing, Tiananmen Square under a tight security, the Victory Day parade has sparked a global attention with attendance of 26 foreign countries leaders which include Russia, North Korea, Zimbabwe and others.

China Commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War which lasted for 14 years from 1931 to 1945.

In his address, President Xi Jinping remarked that the China’s people war against Japanese aggression was the great war, whereby the Chinese stood up to fight the formidable enemy with their flesh and blood to defend their nation and to resist foreign aggression.

President Xi highlighted that Chinese national sacrifice made a major contribution to safe the human civilization and the World peace.

He outlined that history cautions that humanity rises and falls together, but if only the nations and countries can treat each other as equals, coexist in peace and support each other and eradicate the root cause of the war, and prevent the reoccurring of the historical tragedies.

President Xi further issued a stern warning that that the Chinese is the great nation that is never be intimidated by any bullies.

He highlighted that in the past they were faced with struggles, but Chinese people rallied to defend their enemies for the survival of the country and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and justice for the whole humanity.

President reiterated that today human has to choose between peace and war, but the Chinese people firmly stand on the right side of history and the progress of human civilization.

He reaffirmed that they will remain committed in the history development and around the world to build a community with a shared future and humanity.

President Xi stressed that their People’s Liberation Army has been and will always remain a heroic armed force that a party and people can fully trust and rely on, adding that their servicemen will as well faithfully perform their duties and speedup building the world class military that can safely guard China sovereignty and territorial integrity, adding that they also play an integral part in the global peace.

Additionally, he acknowledged the countries which are present as they celebrate and those who fought along their side during the Japanese aggression.

Renin University of China, Director of Institute of International Affairs, Vice President of Academy of XiJinping Thought of Socialism for a New Era, Professor and Doctor Wang Yiwei during and interview, highlighted that PLA is the people’s army, hence in China they never had any civil wars, but they are a united nation.

Prof. Yiwei stressed that celebrating 80th years anniversary is very important as they recount on history and civilization.

On the issue of the celebrating with grand parade, he highlighted that having an army and their equipment is not a show of force, but it is a symbol of modernization and to showcase their best technologies for peace and security, and not to use them on starting the wars.

The reports highlight that during the China 14 years of war of Resistance against theJapanesearmy, it suffered over 35 millions militants and civilians casualties, with a direct economic losses of 100 millions dollars, while the indirect economic losses amounted to over 500 millions dollars.

Meanwhile, during the grand parade the Chinese army showcased their latest development in military hardware ranging from ground forces, airforce and maritime.
