COMMUNITY SHOULD HAVE ACCURATE INFORMATION ON TRAFFICKING IN PERSON – MEMBERS

Mafeteng, July 26 — Members of the District Multi-Sectoral Committee on Trafficking in Persons pledged to continue mainstreaming the issue of human trafficking for the benefit of all including people with various disabilities.

Speaking during one day meeting held in Mafeteng on Friday they agreed that the issue of Trafficking in Persons should be mainstreamed everywhere during gatherings so that members of the community will have accurate information concerning the issue.

They said it is true that majority of members of the community are trapped as a result of lacking information regarding Trafficking in Persons, saying it is only when members of the community have information that the country will have no cases of human trafficking.

Ms.Lerato Posa from the Ministry of Education and Training informed the gathering that District Education Officer said all those who wanted to dessemiate information in relation to Trafficking in Persons within local schools should hold letters stamped by District Administrator’ s Office.
