CONSUMERS RAISE CONCERN OVER TOMATO PRICES

Maseru, Apr. 24 — The current increased prices for tomatoes might be due to the business community who took advantage of closed borders for this product earlier this year.

This is according to the Consumer Protection Association President Mr. Nkareng Letsie in an interview with the Agency after consumers have raised concerns over increased prices for tomatoes.

Mr. Letsie said although tomato is a perishable food, its price may change regularly but farmers forget that they are producers and have a tendency of setting retail prices…
