Maseru, Sept. 30 — The counting of results in many of the Local Government Electoral Divisions (EDs) in the Maseru district has been successfully completed.
This has been confirmed by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC’s) District Electoral Officer (DEO), Mrs. ‘Mapheello Nkopane on Saturday morning.
However, the DEO stated that despite having been completed in time on Friday, it was resolved that the ballot boxes should not be transported at night for security reasons hence they were kept in the Returning Officers offices under heavy security guards and representatives of the political parties.
