DCEO LAUNCHES NEW REGIONAL OFFICE IN BOTHA-BOTHE 

Botha-Bothe, Nov. 13 — The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) has officially launched its new regional office in Botha-Bothe, which will serve the three northern districts of Botha-Bothe, Mokhotlong, and Leribe.

Speaking at the launch, the Minister of Law and Justice, Mr. Richard Moeletsi, said the establishment of the regional offices has been a long-standing goal of the current government. He explained that decentralizing the DCEO’s services is aimed at improving access and reducing logistical costs for people who previously had to travel to Maseru for assistance.

“Corruption remains a major challenge as it negatively affects the country’s economy and public services. These offices are therefore meant to enhance service delivery and bring anti-corruption efforts closer to the people,” he said.

Mr. Moeletsi added that the DCEO’s expansion will continue, with plans already underway to open another office in Mohale’s Hoek. “The fight against corruption cannot be won by DCEO alone. It requires collective vision and shared responsibility from all sectors,” he emphasized…
