Qacha’sNek, April 16 — The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offenses (DCEO) with the support of European Union (EU) has on Tuesday stepped up strategies to fight corruption through re-establishment of Qacha’sNek District Anti-Corruption Committee (DACC).
It was at this meeting that participants were taught about corruption, its causes, manifestation and the public’s role in preventing and combating it.
Mr. Tankisang Mapuru an entrepreneur was appointed as the chairman of the DACC which consists of 20 members while Mrs. ‘Maneo Piet Head of Sub-accountancy is the secretary.
According to Mr. Litelu Ramokhoro, DCEO Director for Public Education and Corruption Prevention (PECP) DACC is meant to be a champion in fighting corruption.
