DISABILITY ADVISORY COUNCIL SOLUTION TO PWDs BUDGET

Maseru, March 03 — Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) will continue to be excluded in Lesotho’s budget estimates until an advisory body, which will guide the government on issues of disability becomes operational.

This was said by Lesotho National Federation of Organisations of the Disabled (LNFOD) Executive Director Adv. Nkhasi Sefuthi in an interview with the Agency when commenting about the inclusion of PWDs within the 2025/26 budget estimates.

Adv. Sefuthi said the government, through the Ministry of Finance, always misses an opportunity to include the needs of PWDs when making the budget as there is no body who advises on what areas to focus on…
