DISABILITY, CHILD GRANT BENEFICIARIES REACT TO BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS

 

Qacha’sNek, Feb. 21 —In a move aimed at supporting vulnerable communities, the government has announced a slight increase in disability and child grants.

While this M50 increment offers some relief, many beneficiaries believe it falls short of addressing their  financial needs.

For those relying on these grants, the adjustment is a step forward, but the call for more substantial support remains loud.

For ‘Majobere Tau of Thifa, a visually impaired disability grant recipient, the recently announced  increment in social grants is both welcomed and inadequate. 

While she appreciates the government’s effort, she believes the M50 increase is too small to make a meaningful difference…
