Maseru, Aug. 08 – The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation says the communications tower at Ha-Khoro, Tsákholo is functional.
Ms. Nthati Moorosi said this during a question and answer session in the National Assembly on Thursday.
She was responding to question 533, where she was asked if she is aware that the communications tower at the said village currently displays a red light which apparently indicates malfunction and if so, how soon the Minister will intervene.
Minister Moorosi explained that the ‘red light’ on this tower is a technical matter aimed at signalling to airplanes that there is a tower in that area.
Therefore, she allayed fears of the society through the House, indicating the tower is still functional and such should not be a worrying factor to all.
The Ministry of Information aims to be a vibrant information hub, leaders in technology and research moving towards a prosperous, innovative, stable and suitable democracy, knowledge based society.
