Maseru, June 19 – Following its introspection on disability grant, Department of Social Development will commence training in remaining districts at dates yet to be identified.
According to the Ministry of Gender, Youth, Sports, Arts, Culture and Social Development Public Relations Officer Mrs. Mpho Makhetha, Department of Social Development officers will undergo training on disability issues based on Disability Equity Act, case management and disability in general in preparation of enrolment of those eligible for disability grant in districts.
Mrs. Makhetha mentioned that the disability grant was piloted in Butha Buthe and also disclosed that an introductory training will be held in Mokhotlong, Qacha’s Nek, Berea, Maseru and Mafeteng.
