DMA, SOCIAL PROJECT HOLD AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS 

Botha Bothe, Feb. 04 — The Disaster Management Authority (DMA), in collaboration with the Improved Adaptive Capacity of Vulnerable and Food-Insecure Populations (ICoV), is hosting awareness campaigns this week for communities in the Upper Nqoe community council. 

According to Mr. Mofihli Phaqane, Chairperson of the National Climate Change Coordinating Committee, the aim of these campaigns is to educate the community on climate change and its significant impacts on the planet. This will help residents make informed decisions while working toward building resilience against climate change effects.

Mojabeng Mohloki from the District Disaster Management Authority (DMA) emphasized that climate change leads to disasters, which is why it is crucial for the community to understand how to mitigate such risks and build resilience. . .
