DPS COMMENDS RUNNERS

MASERU — The Deputy Principal Secretary (DPS) in the Ministry of Sports Mr. Hlalele Hlalele has commended all Public Officers  Runners who participated during the 10km half Marathon.

DPS  Hlalele who also took part told the Agency upon arrival at LCS, that it is through activities such as these ones that the government is able to identify different talents bestowed upon employees. “This will help us when it comes to participating in regional activities of some sorts.”

Also, the Agency spotted Lesotho Correctional Services (LCS), Assistant Commissioner, Mr. Mokhethi Raphuthing who said he would also be joining finals on November 20.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) represented by Ts’oanelo Potiane came out top during the run, thus arriving at 7:48am after all left Phillips at 07:08am.

Meanwhile, the first woman arrived  later on at 08:08am Mrs. ‘Manthati Motsamai – Sekants’i, an Officer in the Ministry of Health department of Mohlomi Hospital.

“Through commitment and determination as Public Officers we can achieve bigger goals,” she said.

Others who also came out after Potiane included Ts’epo Cheche of Justice and Law as well as Ts’osane Lebina of Natural Resources.

This day celebrates the 2025 Public Service Day (PSD) whose agenda in line with United Nations is to honour  Public Officers in their endeavour to deliver services.
