Mohale’s Hoek, Feb. 06 — Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry ‘Maphakamile Xingwana says duplication of efforts by various Ministries has to date not yielded fruitful results.
Mrs. Xingwana stated this when addressing stakeholders at the Community By-Laws Validation Workshop courtesy of Improving Adaptive Capacity of Vulnerable and Food Insecure Populations in Lesotho, (IACOV) by noting that it is time to go back to the drawing board and align laws which will regulate Sectors and not Ministries.
PS urged IACOV to practice the graduation model when implementing the Phase 2 of the project, so that communities do not get to benefit from all Components, but their lives remain unchanged, noting people cannot rely on hand outs for the rest of their lives. . .
