Maseru, Jan.22 — The Minister of Communications as a special envoy for the President of the People’s Republic of Algeria Mr. Mohammed Meziane has visited Lesotho paying a courtesy call on the Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane in Maseru on Wednesday.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency, the Minister of Gender, Youth and Social Development Mr. Pitso Lesaoaona stated that the objective of this meeting was for Mr. Meziane to deliver a special message from the President of Algeria to the Prime minister to solicit support of the Government of Lesotho for the candidacy of Ambassador Salma Mlika Haddadi who is the Algerian candidate for the position of Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission.
Mr. Lesaoana indicated that upon receiving this message, the Prime Minister is yet to delve on this matter and give back his response. . .
