Maseru, Mar. 07 — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang YI has reaffirmed China’s dedication to strengthen its bond with Africa delineating the two as good friends, partners and brothers with a shared future.
Wang Yi disclosed this prior to 25th anniversary of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) which marks a notable landmark in the China-Africa relationship.
For the quadricentennial, China has played an important role in Africa’s development, assisting in building or revamping about 10,000 kilometers of roads and more than 10,000 kilometers of railways.
Wang Yi indicated the success story of a Gambian farmer, beneficiary of China’s hybrid rice technology, dispatching a bag of rice to Hunan Province in China as an expression of gratitude. AT/TL
