Maseru, Aug. 20 — The Deputy President of the Senate, Mr. Tsukutlane Au has expressed serious concern over the alarming rise in killings across the country, particularly highlighting the disturbing emergence of a new job title where young people are being hired as killers.
Mr. Au linked these killings to the Famo Music groups, leading to the suspension of 12 such groups. He noted that while the government, through its security agencies, is doing its best to curb these acts, the situation remains dire.
He further pointed out that the high rate of youth unemployment is a contributing factor, making young people more vulnerable to criminal activities. “It is not surprising that in all these killings, young people are the ones being arrested,” he said. . .
