Maseru, Aug. 08—Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL) and Bienvenue have launched the Royal Cup 2024
as a celebration of the King’s 61 st birthday and the 200 years celebrated by the Basotho nation.
Managing Director ETL Mr. Motlatsi Russel told a press conference that the horse race will be in Mohale’s Hoek on
October 12 where more than 50 flat race horses will be competing.
He said to make things juicy, there will also be a contest where at the end a best dressed woman,
and man will be selected, while there will also be a best hat contest.
The race will be in five categories, Lesotho Breed, MaidenPlate, Bottom Division, Top Division and Farewell.
Meanwhile, Acting General Manager- Marketing Communications and Customer experience Puleng Masoabi also explained that her ETL has sponsored the race
