Maseru, Sept. 18 — Epilepsy Lesotho Association has highlighted progress in extending education and awareness about epilepsy across the country.
In an interview with the Agency on Thursday, the Association’s Executive Director, Mrs. Nthabeleng Hlalele, said the organization has rolled out a number of community outreach programmes, which she described as successful.
She noted that outreach activities have so far taken place in Berea and Botha-Bothe, where volunteers continue to engage communities through gatherings to educate them about epilepsy.
Mrs. Hlalele emphasized the importance of government participation, particularly in ensuring easy access to medication for people with epilepsy at local health facilities.
