Maseru, May 14 — The world soccer governing body Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Regional Technical Consultant, Mr Serame Letsoaka based in neighbouring South Africa toured Lesotho last week.
LeFA Media Officer, Mr. Mikia Kalati told the Agency on Tuesday that Mr. Letsoaka during his past visits in the country, managed to visit Thaba Tseka, where he held clinics for youth coaches as well as watching the Technical Development Scheme (TDS) select teams made of players from the 10 districts of Lesotho in action at LeFA Technical Centre in Maseru late last year.
He said his visit concluded on the weekend with a trip to Mohale’s Hoek to interact with youth coaches as well as watch TDS Under-15 teams in action.
Furthermore, he said LeFA Technical Department and FIFA Regional Technical Consultant Mr. Letsoaka, last week Friday, met with the Ministries of Tourism, Arts, Sports and Culture as well as of Education and Training to discuss their roles in the success of LeFA developmental and youth programmes such as FIFA Talent Development (TDS) and eventually the establishment of an academy as part of the programme.
